Check out the Jolla-Devices STORE.
Our beta shop. It's a sort of archive where to buy Sailfish OS-ready devices.
The week of Black Friday (and then Cyber Monday) has already arrived and the main Tech shops and technology brands are revealing their offers.
But what happens looking phones compatible with alternative/privacy focused/security hardened mobile OS?
Here’s a short list of what I saw around until now.
Of course:
Many of the items have been on sale for a few days already, in particular the Xperia 10 III, 10 II and Nokia N9/N8.
The Volla phones will instead be on promo during the Christmas period.
You already know where it is but here is the link: https://buy.jolla-devices.com
On the Gemini PDA creator’s site, there’s a certain summer offer which is still active and which lowers the price of the Gemini PDA 4G+Wifi. One flaw is the compromise on the type of keyboard, only some languages remained in stock: US, arabic and swedish keyboards.
This is the direct link, there are other discounts on the shop:
Gemini PDA – 4G+WiFi – SUMMER SALE
The official Sony store for Germany is probably the best-stocked in Europe, the one where Sony still has all the latest Xperia models in stock, with also their accessories.
A nice gift idea could be to protect your Xperia with a “Stilvolles Cover mit Standfuß für das Xperia 10 III”
The Smartphones section contains rather significant discounts, although still applied starting from the new official prices (quite expensive).

The popular Finnish technology chain applies discounts on various phones: the Google Pixel 6a offered at 329 euros (previously 449 euros) is interesting.
For a purchase with the flashing in mind…

Update 23-24 November
The Google Pixel 7a is on sale at a 449 euros on the italian Google Store. As you know these Pixels are the target for Graphene OS.

The main Italian technology chain opens to discounts:
“Discover the best MediaWorld offers for the most colorful Black Friday ever. The promotions for this Black Friday 2023 concern hundreds of products including smartphones, notebooks, smart TVs and accessories, but also large and small household appliances. Hurry, offers expire November 30th”
The smartphones section is focused on mainstream Apple and Chinese/Korean brands, but the numerous categories of the site can reserve surprises.
An example is the TV and audio section: https://www.mediaworld.it/it/campaign/black-friday-smartphone
The German parent company also has a Black Friday section, with some interesting offers in the smartphones section: https://www.mediamarkt.de/de/campaign/blackfriday-smartphones-und-wearables
Xperia 10 V at 279 euros!!!
Happy Black Friday and please… buy responsibly!
