It’s the end of September, and it’s time for a monthly update!
September was a quiet month for Sailfish OS: the main new was the release of the Microtube app by @Mister1Magister (Michał Szczepaniak)
You can download the app from Openrepos
#Microtube ? 1.7 is out! And it's first ever #SailfishOS app sharing & handling #YouTube links directly from picker menu! Check it out! #jolla @Mister1Magister @JollaHQ @AnttiSaarnio @SoftpediaLinux @ZDNet @JollaIt @jolladevices @jollanl @muylinux ? https://t.co/4dcgDPz07Q pic.twitter.com/rgGQ396Py6

Scintillion now has an Italian localization thanks to @itsamefra:
Thank you @itsamefra for your amazing work translating Scintillon into Italian. Version 0.3 with Italian UI for controlling your #PhilipsHue smartlights from a #SailfishOS smartphone is now available from the Jolla Store and OpenReposhttps://t.co/ZzkkBDuhwK pic.twitter.com/wQSTCkqldh

Sailfish OS is out by some years, for pioneers and early adopters, but many users are discovering the OS nowadays.
The result is a curious exchange between old users tired of waiting for apps and features and new users with the hype of the beginnings!
It's time to say goodbye to #SailfishOS and hello to @LineageAndroid. Took a long time to decide, some background on Together https://t.co/g30nkEIPeQ

Holy Crap! I can't lie… #sailfishos is literally the device I have dreamed about my whole life. pic.twitter.com/ukKdspQeop

Looking at devices, there weren’t yet releases or official announcement about SF devices.
The only event was the finding of the Kingsun EF33, a Chinese feature phone, which stock is an Android 6 modified for non-touch screens.
This feature phone should be 99% the hardware base of that prototype that Jolla feature phone showed to the MWC 2018.
It is.
A cute Android 6.0 feature phone. Probably thehardware base of that Jolla prototype appeared at MWC 2018…

In the hype of the discovery, a reference page for porting was published.
For the moment the device had a cold welcome, and the port of Sailfish OS seems to be impossible, at the moment.
Meanwhile the 3 imported items are available on the J-D Store, near the Banana phone.
(Unfortunately, having an external lithium battery, they are burdened by extra customs duties!)
Suddenly, without announcements that could predict it, Xiaomi announces he MI Alpha 4, a smartphone with a wraparound screen on 4 sides, for about a 180% body screen ratio!
Xiaomi Introduces the Mi MIX Alpha, a 4D surrounding curved display smartphone. #MiMIXAlpha
The Specs???
>180.6% screen-to-body ratio
>108MP camera
>Snapdragon 855 processor
>12GB of RAM, 512GB ROM
>4,050mAh battery with 40W fast charging
>Price: $2800 pic.twitter.com/0epLYVTh5j— Augustine Sang ?? (@Sang_254) September 24, 2019
Yes the price is 2800$ you read that right. The equivalent of 10 Xperia XA2!
Whether it remains a prototype, or it will be distributed, it is an innovation and a test of strength of Xiaomi.
It is interesting to see now whether the innovation of the screens-all -round will be taken up by other manufacturers.
The XA2 H3113 are now discounted at 249€ (incl. EU shipping) on J-D new Store. The offer is linked to temporary offer, black color is in stock!
